Lots of good tips that don't cost anything.

The gentleman in the video mentioned turning the water heater down to 120. In addition to the saving on heating the water I read that turning the thermostat down to 120 also slows mineral buildup and corrosion in your water heater and pipes, so your water heater should last longer and be more efficient.

Also, another tip that wasn't mentioned in the video that doesn't cost money to do is brush and vacuum the coils on your refrigerator. Refrigerators use about 8% of your energy consumption and keeping the coils clean can improve the efficiency of the refrigerator by up to 30%.

There are so many simple and affordable ways that we can make our homes more energy efficient there really isn't a good excuse not to do what you can. Websites such as this really are helpful in getting the word out on some of the things that everyone can do. I particularly like the "open the windows" suggestion. Not so long ago we used to have our windows open a good portion of the year, only recently have we become so spoiled to relying on air conditioning so much.

Those are good tips. I like the idea of getting the children involved, we are the ones that can teach them how to reduce waste, and hopefully they can make a bigger difference when they grow up.
