Electric is mainly made with polluting exhaustible resources. This has been going on for too long! The prices are never going down and the resources used will never replenish themselves. This leaves us working towards becoming energy independent. We have to have a plan to use alternate forms of energy such as solar power!
Solar power can be used for many things and more information is becoming available everyday. It can be converted into electricity and used for cooking, heating, cooling, and even powering your car.
The major and just about only cost associated with solar power is the intial installation. After that it is basically free to collect the energy, unlike the other ways.
The process of converting solar power into electricity is done through the use of solar cells or Photovoltaic. These cells are arranged on a flat platform and become a solar array. These are normally installed on a roof for maximum exposure to the sun. This electricity can be used, stored in batteries, or even sold back to your electric company. Just don’t expect to get the same price that they charge!

No one wants to spend the money to overcome this problem. And of course reliability; on cloudy days it is harder to produce enough energy to benefit us. Power companies are in business to make money. It is just too hard in today’s world to make any money with solar power.
There is a bright side. Research is being done to reduce the size of the storage units. The whole planet is making an effort to use renewable energy and more money will be spent to make it happen.

I always believe that the potential economic benefits on renewable energy is rather big. However, nobody wants to risks the cost of developing renewable energy is the core of the problem.
I totally agree that the sun is a potent source of renewable energy. As to why it is only now that people are actually harnessing this potential to solve the energy crisis baffles me a lot.
Well, at least we are now seeing a change in people’s mindset. Hopefully sooner, our energy needs will be addressed more by renewable sources rather than our over-dependence on non-renewable sources.
